I would like to convert my 2015 Specialized Fatboy with a Bafang 1000W BBSHD Mid Drive Conversion kit can somebody provide what additional items I might need i.e, BB spacers, adapters, chain size, drive sprocket...? Thanks
Thank you for the input! I love my Fatboy it has been one of the best bikes of many more and less expensive. I hope to build a great e-bike out of it! I’ll post some picks when completed. Thanks again.
I can tell you to definitely get the 120mm version of the BBSHD, and get a few spacers in different sizes so you can dial in the best chainline. I can also tell you that the Lekkie 42t chainring will be your best bet unless you don't mind the extra expense and work necessary to install the 40t version. Captain Codswallop (John Weaver) of High Voltage built his first eBike from a Specialized Fatboy, and it's an impressive ride. He was my inspiration for converting a fat bike, but I had to settle for a Mongoose Argus Sport 26 since the Specialized Fatboy is no longer in production. wow that's some good info there, I have a 2015 fatboy expert that I love, I would have bought the 100mm bb cyclone if I hadn't seen this post.
