I've been watching a lot of videos and stuff and pretty much all of the installation videos and advice are generalized. What I never hear is "what doesn't work." And I also came across a lot of budget bikes on which to do the conversion. "Any basic mountain bike will do?" Trouvaille looks like a basic mountain bike and is a hard tail because this is really going to be a commuter bike anyway. But I'm a little worried. The front gear is single which I thought would be a plus... less stuff to remove and not needed. But it looks like maybe the Bafang 750 watt I have on order will suffer from the chain alignment issues and the (I don't know the term, but the lower arms that extrude to hold the rear axle?) metrics don't look right and I may have to select a different bike or some a lot of other things to make this work. Is there a list of bikes known to work? Or better, a list of bike known NOT to work?

We'll just have to see after my motor kit arrives. But I'm looking at the Lekkie 40T kit with the replacement motor cover. I feel like that will give me the best chance of success. But I'll try the kit "stock" to start with. I never expected this to happen over-night. So it will just have to take a bit longer than the average Youtube video. BTW, what is "the best chain"? Might as well replace the one it came with with something better. Anything to avoid? Anything to recommend?
