I have done several Trek bike conversions. As long as the bottom bracket is a BSA threaded, the BBS02 kits slide right in. If the bottom bracket is PF30 or other, it will require an adapter.
I just did my wife's Trek Navigator 200 this weekend, first time, first conversion. Didn't get the kit from johnnynerdout (only reason is because out of stock). Only issue I ran into was there is a plastic guide for the derailleur cables under the frame. Had to cut off the taller guide and used the thinner one for the rear derailleur as it was the only one being used now. Doing my Giant next

I did mine on an older Trek hybrid, a few adjustments routing the shifting cable under crank, otherwise no problems, 600+ miles so far...
depends on the models bottom bracket specs. generally trek can be troublesome, requires use of BB adapters, etc.
