Has anyone found a bike chain that is more durable then the rest ?
Or is there a brand to stay away from ?
I'm going to buy a backup chain if /when i need to replace my old one.
my existing one is a standard 3/32 size 6/7/8 speed chain.

Not all are the same quality... I go with KMC chains, which are cheap and durable (can see the durability scale on the package) and can go on the gears both ways... You may notice there are ebike rated chains out there, which are about 2x the price of a standard chain...Still those wont last 2x as long as the regular chain usually which means its more cost effective to just get 2 of the regular chains and skip the ebike rated chain. hope that clarifies
