When I hear the term "throttle" it is based on other devices which are throttles. ALL of them are variable in some fashion whether analog from zero to max or in stepped increments. Does the BBS02 support more than the simple ON/OFF momentary "switch" they call a throttle? By definition and by function, this is a momentary switch and not a throttle. We wouldn't drive car with a throttle like this would we? Or even a motorcycle or anything else. What were they thinking? If all I will get is a momentary push switch, then I think I should just create a tiny button for the task.

Well, good work! There has occasionally been a bad tester found in my workshop.😉 I have found bike upgrading to be a field of constant learning and challenges.
I have a standard Barfang throttle. If am careful , when depressed a little I get a slow, smooth take-off. It's sometimes called feathering the throttle. After that, it becomes very on/off which is ok for me.
you can program the throttle a bit to make it more sensitive. ive used the bafang throttle at stock voltage and its just fine. idk what youre referring to
The Bafang bbs02 kit has a power on-off button but also has provision in the wiring harness for a variable position throttle which can be either a thumb, or twist format.
