Johnny's videos have been helpfull in getting me up to snuff on middrive ebike conversions so I figured this would be a good place to ask!
I have a 23 year old Schwinn Moab1 which was a moderately high end hardtail back when I bought it. It has 26 inch wheels as they all did back then. I am looking into converting it to a 8 x 1 drivetrain with one of Box's conversion kits for ebikes (if that is likely not doable with this frame please let me know!) and then possibly getting the new bafang M265 750watt mid drive kit for it at some point in the near future.
What is confusing me is an Amazon seller of the kit in their description claims the M625 only work with 27.5 inch wheels. I can't find anywhere else that says this even on bafangs website but I want to make sure it's going to work or find out why it wouldn't work with 26 inch wheels? I'm pretty sure the frame on my moab1 is large enough to fit the battery but it may be close based on the measurements provided in the m625 manual. My bike has a 73mm bb so I think I would need the 68mm kit based on what I have read.

Thanks for the reply, The seller that had that wheel size thing in their description said it's due to the battery size...I think I've decided to go with a Tongsheng TSDZ2 52 volt system though...The more I read the more I like the idea and simplicity of the torque sensing it has vs cadence.
I'm in Florida so a lot of trails through the woods and gentle hills unless your somewhere with old phosphate mounds but I'm not an aggressive rider now a days anyway.
I'm going with a 9 speed Box gear set and shifter...hopefully everything will play well together with my frame and the mid drive kit.
