Hello! I'm new to the forum. I installed a BBS02 on my bike and my wife's bike a couple of weeks ago, and we love them! Only problem, it is hard for us to ride side-by-side, no matter what gear we choose, or what assist level. For example, if we are both in assist level 3 (I have both bikes programmed for 9 levels), and we are both in our highest gear (smallest cog), I can't keep up with her without really pushing hard (which I don't want to do). But if she shifts up one gear, then she can't keep up with me if we both pedal at a comfortable rate. We have tried all kinds of combinations but nothing seems to work. I'd really like to get the bikes synchronized so we could comfortably ride side-by-side. I'm wondering if I changed assist level settings using the programming cable and software, if I might be able to give my bike a little more boost to help me keep up with her? I was thinking of bumping up the current limit % for each assist level on my bike by a couple percentage points. Not sure if I should do anything with the speed limit %. Any suggestions on what I might try would be greatly appreciated! JO

I have had some success and thought I'd post for anyone who had a similar issue. I reprogrammed according to the setting in this article: https://edrivenet.com/bafang-programming/ I think the lower and more granular current limit settings are what helped the most. The high default settings for the lower levels were just too much. My wife and I are able to ride side-by-side, both of us pedaling at a comfortable pace, and not having to coast to let one another catch up. Her go-to assistance level is 3 (30% current limit) and mine is 4 (40%). Much more fun to ride together now!
