I have just finish my build on a trek marlin7 29" wheels and a 42T sprocket. i have insalled the eggrider v2 display and have ajustet the settings to "karls Sauce". Anyway i see people everywhere getting speeds about 55-60 KM/h on this setup - but i DONT! it will barley hit 50 - is it my 42T sprocket thats too small or? The settings in eggrider v2 should be all good ... I just cant figure it out! thanks

I also run a 46t and it will do 35mph if there are no strong winds or slopes to contend with. I have 9 power settings and for the 1st week loved going flat out whenever I could. I live in a rural beachside setting with a few hills and open roads. I have since decided 25mph is enough and use power settings 5 or 6 most often, and concentrate on using the gears. My previous bikes were hub drive and would cut out at specific speeds so I just powered it all the time.
My gear changes are much smoother at the lower power and I imagine that continuing to go as fast as I can would lead to a lot of wear in the drive train.
