Newbie Question. I’m building my first conversion. I’m planning to convert my Yeti AS-R full suspension with the Bafang 1000W motor / conversion kit. Q1 - Are bottom bracket spacers used on the drive side to align the chain ring with the rear cluster and ensure it doesn’t hit the drive side chain stay .OR. Is it just used on the non-drive side (out side the “fixing plate”) to take up space .OR. BOTH? Q2 - I’ve added a pic of my bike, are there any other pitfalls I should be looking for?

Id recommend re watching these conversion tutorials if you havent, should help you through everything. I did mine, very smooth no issues. just work out the caveats as you run into them. The spacer is just to keep the motor off the chain stay by leaving a roughly 1/4' gap between the motor and chainstay.on the drive side. That is all you need. In my case I used two 2.5mm spacers on a 68mm bracket.
