In the procsess of converting a Trek Roscoe 7. Eveything going smoothly, but I have hit a bit of a stumper with my magnetic brake disconnect wiring. The wires provided from the kit are much longer than necessary for my set up. The only two thoughts I have: 1) Loop them back on themselves in front or on downtube to shorten them (worried about kinking); or 2) cut and splice (really don't want to do this one if at all possible). How did you guys solve this problem? Pics would be very helpful. Thx.

Thanks for the ideas.
Also I use Silicone tape to wrap wires & cables together, wont crimp the wires like wire ties do, they have it at Home depot, Super Glue EZ-Fuse tape is one brand, you can get a few colors also, online. The tape will not stick to the cables so once you put it on you can shift the wires inside the tape to look best, you have to stretch it to stick to it self so its harder to apply than regular electrical tape but makes a clean wiring and cable look.
I wrap the main wire around the water bottle holder to take up slack. you can put a few washers under to space it out if needed, may need a longer bolts. I cut off the brake cut offs, looks a lot cleaner, both wires and levers, they are not really needed, I have enough wires and I have no intention of braking while pedaling or when the throttle is on. If you don't want to use them until later on you can bend them back and tie them down. After cutting them off i wrap with existing wire with electrical tape. After you cut off the wire and you want to go back to brake cut offs you can buy a new wire for $15 on Amazon. As far as the lights, I don't use the plug in ones, there are plenty battery ones way better that do not clutter up the bike with wires.
