I’m planning to put a 750w Bafang BBS02 On a Trek Marlin 2022.
My question is if I should use a 100mm engine for that bottom bracket. The bike measure 73mm on the bottom bracket But to fit a 48T or a 52T I need to space it out to not collide with the frame. Anyone who has experience with similar build?
The 68mm worked perfectly!
Although the frame is a bit in the way to fold up the engine all the way.
But I’m happy with the result. Thanks for all the help
pretty sure some have done it, but no you need to stick with the 68mm motor option, check your BB specs but likely you have the 73mm BSA threaded MTB bottom bracket which is common, you need the 68mm motor option and probably a lekkie onenut with some red lock tite to help hold it in place. as far as chainring u prob good w a 42T but may wanna double check as thats the best ring for bbshd tho idk about the bbs02, do some article digging on BBS02 chainrings, should tell you the info on offsets and whats the best ring. you have the get the right motor spindle size to match your BB though
