Asked a question about the 8fun bbso2 and got this weird reply. If what they say is true and it causes problems up hill, can it be fixed with firmware ?
Edit: for those who don't want to use the png
"Will a 52V battery work with the 44t motor without a battery included ? It says 48V but will a 52 work without flashing?" - me
"Dear Customer, the 52V battery can work with 48V motor. Just pay attention not to ride uphill for a long time." - Daniel ( random 8fun guy I guess)
yes hes explaining that the BBS02 shouldnt be run for longer periods uphill, as it can get hot and overheat the controller, etc. newer bbs02 motors have a better controller i believe but still its not heavy duty like the HD. 52v batteries seem to work better with HD motors in some cases due to the older controllers on some BBS02s, but i think thats largely been resolved. just be careful of overheating
