Complete newb to ebikes, I have cycled in the past, owned and build motorcycles, 4 wheelers etc. I have become a big fan of the Johnny Nerd out channel and have learned a lot. I'm an engineer and have decided to design an ebike using an existing road bike I have, and will add pictures as I make some more progress. I have recently decided to start down the path of using an ebike instead of my car as much as possible. I started by planning out routes to my most common destinations looking at terrian and mileage trying to figure out what is feasible. There is a lot of oppinions out there on range which is based on a lot of variables. My rough math so far tells me I can go most places I need to with my planned setup and a few that might be just out of range. I purchased a full M625 kit with the smile battery which to my understanding is just what it is and I can't piggy back another battery to increase capacity. Entil I get the kit I won't know this for sure, I have plenty of experience programming PLC's, mod bus, can bus etc and leaning towards its probably possible. If it isn't possible my question here is for those who have a M625 kit, has anyone tried to plug the charger into something like a small battery bank inverter while riding to increase range a little. If this is possible I thought something like a milwaukee 8.0 ah battery with a topoff might be like a spare gas can of sorts. Thanks for anyone's thoughts
