I want a dual suspended MTB for a Bafang motor and have noticed that most of the modern bikes ie Giant Anthem/Trance, Trek Fuel etc have a downtube that initially runs horizontally from the bottom bracket then curves up to the headtube. This means the motor hangs lower than if the bike has a downtube running straight up to the headtube.
Has anyone done this type of conversion and had any negatives with a lower hanging motor. Normally the chainring is the lowest part of the bike.
thanks for that. I will keep trying out my kit on my Trek hardtail and as you say, if I am careful and avoid any uneven ground it should be fine.
