So, I live in kansas, where we do stupid things like http://www.bak.org, complete with 100 mile century days, and back to back 80 mile days...
I am a 250lb rider with (2) 48v14ah integrated frame batteries. I can barely scrap together 50miles per battery on gravel/hills with a 750w hub motor, running current limited cadence. I use 30w level asphalt, 80w gravel, 120w or 240w PAS on up to 6% hills averaging 10-15mph, and barely climbing 12% plus steep hills at 6.5mph where I had to change to wide ratio cassette to even be able to do that.... I need more climbing and range.
I'm considering:
bbs02 plus an eggrider_V2
TSDZ8 plus a (not yet available ) OSF & 860C display.
Toseven DM02 + M15 display
Things I hate include a big ugly battery that looks out of place, WeedEater sounding motor ebikes, and wires wires wires everywhere... To that end, I am at a crossroads in thinking between keep what I've got and struggle, Mid Drive my current integrated battery frame ebike, and hope my typical 75-85rpm cadence is in an efficient enough range that my 14ah batteries get me what I need running bbs02 in current limited style settings, or TSDZ8 / DM02 in torque sensor eco settings. It's that or start over with a Trek marlin5 with the integrated frame cable routing, and commit to rear rack with more battery INSIDE the rack/bag for an invisible battery look and fight the inevitable chainline issues. Commercial ebikes just don't have enough of everything. Thoughts on this anyone? My priorities are range first, quiet second, hill climbing third, and then all else...
