I've gotten by BBSHD motor installed on my Framed Minnesota 2.0. But I'm having a hard time finding a battery to fit the down tube. It's a pretty small space. So far I've tried
A triangle battery from UPP - too big
I normal Shark Type 48v 15 Amp hour battery - too long
I am considering...
A. A rack mount battery
B. Attaching a battery under the downtube
Any other ideas are much appreciated.
Thanks
MNark
Looks like there's room under the frame? I like to keep the weight as centered as possible. Triple bob it in place. Good luck!
Thanks. I'll have a look.. much appreciated.
yep for issues like this, you can look into custom batteries. i ordered one from this guys site, who is a genius, custom battery maker. https://bicyclemotorworks.com/product-category/e-bike-batteries/52v/
In New Zealand and Australia, Luna Mate sell a highly regarded 6ah pack which can even attach to the underside of the seat. They carry a spare or 2 in a bag. It is geared towards the dedicated mountain biker who wants as little weight as possible on their bike but would also be ideal for the commuter who can recharge them at work.
I would think that there must be something similar elsewhere.
