Here in Idaho EVERYTHING is a long way away and I don’t like to ‘drive to a place to ride’, so I usually spend 5 miles or so on the streets before I hit a trail. I like my Karakoram for this, I just put it into high gear and go!

Seems most fat bikes don’t even have a high gear, maybe because of their weight, this is where the eBike gets useful. I want to able to ride year round, here in this part of Idaho it gets cold in winter, but seldom windy.

I’m 58 now, trying to keep in shape, raced BMX in the 80’s, MTBs in the 90’s, took 20 years off farming and raising a family, want to ride daily again!

I feel that. i realized eventually im going to have a diff bike for every purpose, probably 5+. a entry level hardtail, a full susp custom ebike, a fat tire custom ebike for mud/snow?, a enduro custom ebike for all around shredder, a jump bike for jump parks. havent much experience with bmx, id like to learn to whip and back/front flip/360 on some cushioned jumps for practice. seems really fun, red bull biking is insane! so i kind of like the idea of a BBSHD fat bike for winter / mud shredding, even sand at the beach, the traction is going to be very good. but my all rounder go-to is going to be an enduro carbon 29er all decked out and with a special lightweight motor, to go almost anywhere. different bike for different jobs
