I have a high-end single speed mountain bike that I'd like to convert with a 750w system. I have two questions: First, do I need to get a geared rear wheel so I'd have a ten speed on the rear? Second, where might I find a battery to go with this kit? This bike will be used for pretty hard mountain riding on single track as well as commuting to work.

The single speed mountain bike is perfect for riders who want to experience the thrill of mountain biking without having to worry about shifting gears. This bike is also perfect for http://typotic.com/forum/publishing/the-highquality-pocket-knives-to-hold-every-day/ and beginners, as it is simple to operate and doesn’t require a lot of maintenance.
Hi guys, jumping into the conversation here. I am doing the same thing. I have a BBSHD I am going to install on my single speed identiti hardtail. I only want to run one gear, lots of torque! I did find a great battery builder here in the US that uses Samsung 21700 cells and does a fantastic job building them up. Link at the bottom. He also sells on eBay and has great feedback.
The trick for me will be to find that magic gear ratio for the torque I want and possibly a top speed of 25mph. I dont care about anything faster, I will be climbing steep hills and jumps. :)
You don’t need to add gears, although that will maximize the benefits of a mid drive. (Being able to multiple the power coming from the motor). Measure your frame and then give yourself an extra inch about to fit a battery safely. Get the biggest you can.
