That's a perfect bike to convert, 1 x drive train. I would get a BBs02 Bafang 750v, legal in federal and most state trails. I would also get the Lekkie 40t Sprocket kit, would be the same size as stock if you are getting a 2022, so you won't even have to bother with changing the chain, or fooling with stock gear ratios, just bolt it on. If you like bling I like the Lekkie cranks, they look much nicer than stock, especially the silver. I love the eggrider display, programs from your phone, a little more expensive but a lot less hastle. This will out preform the $5,000 - $7,000 e-bikes Trek sells.
