Hey Johnny, Just found you and love the advice and tips. I've been so wanting to get an e-bike but the wife tells me they're too damn pricey. I have to agree with her. so looks like youll be commuting around town mostly, easy trails and roads? no steep climbing needed? that should help narrow down your bike choice. its spendy but worth it. id recommend going custom ebike, not premade. find a frame that suits you well, maybe with a rear rack if you need that, hardtail probably would be fine for that use case. youll save in the long run going custom. anywhere from 1k for the bike and 1k for the conversion kit, add some tools and accessories, 2500$ ish, could be done for less as well. depends on what bike you want and the motor and battery - how much power and range you need.
