I just installed a Bafang BBSHD on a full suspension mountain bike. The chain lines up really well with the small cog/chainring in the rear and I can comfortably go about 2 higher than that before the angle of the chain gets so bad I'm afraid it'll come off the front ring. I bought Luna Cycles chainring adapter (https://lunacycle.com/luna-bbshd-130bcd-spider-chainring-adapter/) so I could put a smaller ring (39T) on the front for more torque, but it doesn't have much offset. Other than Luna, is there a company that sells chainrings that have more offset so the chain angle isn't so bad?

The smallest chainring that works is the Lekkie 40 tooth with an expensive motor cover to make it work. The “cover“ is much more...it’s an integrable part of the motor.
Beyond that, the BBSHD has so much torque, I do t see any real need for it.
Ive got a 9 speed cassette and rarely use the 2 lowest gears.
And besides, I like the top speed, which is nuts !
Lekkie 42t and 46t offset by 19mm (bringing it closer to the bike)
