I have a 36V 500w RDEXP controller (part number: RDN094112016) (ASIN: B016O0B0MQ) and a CSC 36V 500W Rear hub Motor Wheel Cassette Brushless Gear DC https://www.aliexpress.com/item/2251832819701614.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.0.0.6bef1802p8wduF (link to motor). Are these two pieces compatible and if so I am having trouble connecting the phase and hall wires so that the motor turns. Right now I have no indication that there is a signal going to the motor when I connect the two and have my battery (36V 30AH) connected. I am also using a simple half twist throttle https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09KLRGN9C?ref=ppx_pop_dt_b_product_details&th=1. The only indication I have that the system is on when I connect everything is that there is power going through the controller. My first time building an electric bike, any tips?

not sure bud, this forum / site is for promoting custom ebike conversions. we recommend avoiding premade ebikes or those with hub motors which are inferior to mid drive motors. not sure who can help you with that
