Everything was in working order when bike was shipped. I live in Canada and the bike went to a parcel-pick-up over the border (int'l battery shipments are an issue). But the pandemic kept me away for almost 2 years. So while the battery holds a charge, there is no life in the controller. It's a 750c, has the remote +/- on the power switch rather than by the screen. Checked all connections (seem good), cleaned up the battery terminals too (they already looked clean and good) -- but the controller will not come to life. Any advice? Is #1 to buy a new controller? what bike exactly? for sitting in storage, your components shouldnt go bad. though batteries dont like hot/cold extremes. your display shouldnt just break unless something happened. also the controller is housed in the motor. my guess is its most likely your battery
