Hi my name is Aubrey. I have a FLX trail F1 ebike. It has a mid drive motor which I have been unable to find out who made the motor or anything about the motor. I also dont have a clue where the controller is. Anyway it was working fine for about 4 years and suddenly it wasn,t. I was going up a steep hill and pulling approximately 610 watts when suddenly it wasn't working right. The motor started vibrating and making some noise and appeared to be unable to find the right gear. I replaced the chain and any gears on the back wheel that appeared worn. This did not fix the problem. The bike works fine as a bike with the power turned off. The battery is a 36v 15ah and is new with 1 full charge. Actually I have three batteries and they all charge to about 41.5v. Does anyone able to give some direction on this problem.

um bummer id say its out of warranty at that point, youd want to contact the manufacturer and see about motor service on that. sorry theres a lot of bike models out there, and what you may learn is that going with premade ebikes may not be worth it in the long run, due to this issue of the motor and battery often integrated into the frame, ie you cant easily service, or swap parts. here we promote going with regular high quality bike frames and custom ebiking them with a motor and battery kit, that way most every component is serviceable or swappable by the end user. in your case it just depends on how easy is it to get to that motor on your bike, swap it or fix it. since your batteries seem fine. in future usually you want to go with a quality mtb frame, full susp even, where you ebike convert that, there are some great custom bikes out there. checkout johhnys many videos for ideas too. hope that helps
