Hello folks, its my first post here. just became a member. I'm Pjay from Montreal and i work for a battery manufacturing company in the R&D department. I pretty much take scooters and bikes and what not and replace the led acid batteries with our own lio-batteries. its been a blast. recently did a gokart electric conversioin. worked out pretty well.
my question is this china bike i found at the curb. i guess someone had already tried to make it work but couldnt.. i've been at this thing for many many hours and i just cant get it to work. its 36v setup and i've purchased 2 speed controllers so far, one brushed and one brushless.. i just cant seem to get it going. i've disconnected the brake plugs. all the lights work, brakes, flashers.
i feel a little defeated at this point. i checked the motor which only has 2 wires, black and red assumingly +/- and it works.
any help is really appreciated before i hit johnny up.
TIA
For starters, if it only has 2 wires from the motor, it is NOT brushless. You say it works so I don't understand what you mean by "not working". Does it have a throttle? That or the wiring itself is the only problem I can imagine. Oh, yeah, if it has brake cut-outs, they may be out of adjustment or broken.
