new tongshane install and the display flashes 64.2 mph&power to drive suspends - I have tried many times to reset display and cannot find any errors. Did I do something wrong or is it a bad display (it is the standard display with the conversion kit)???

Thanks for the reply Bob Walker , I found that I had the speed sensor just a little off center and once I repositioned it then the error codes stopped. thank you I really like this conversion
I had a similar situation with a 750 watt Tong-Sheng that flashed that for a while, speed was all messed-up 64 mph, and eventually would die completely mid-ride. I did the obvious and checked that the speed sensor magnet was placed correctly // nothing helped at that point. "Far from optimum".
However it was after 1,375 miles--not new like you describe your kit. I had purchased the kit from Eco-Cycles out of Nashville and emailed them. Limited help, they told me to check connections etc etc. At one point I noted an error code--briefly before motor cut-out that was "E03". Which with a little digging learned that it meant controller failure.
Here are the error codes for the VLCD5, most, not all kits have the black and white VLCD5 displays.
If it's your controller, (not the speed sensor)--here's some advice;
I purchased a new controller from eco-cycles (the kit was passed warranty) and installed the new controller myself. The controller / replacement is a circuit board that'll have a 6 pin female, or 8 pin male connecter options (on the Eco Cycles site), as well as a choice of voltages-- 36v, 48v, or 52v. Make sure you order the correct controller type for your kit, of course.
It'll take some digging but there is a controller replacement vid on YouTube that, is in Polish, and though I don't speak Polish I could reasonably see each step and affected the repair on my kit. 350 miles later so far, so good!
