I need to replace my battery. I have a mid drive Bafang , not sure if the motor is 750 or 1000 watts 48 or 52 volts. The charger for the old batteries output is 52.6 volts. Am I correct in assuming that the old is a 52 volt battery. Which is your best battery for this application?
Thank you
Great thanks so much!!
Thank for the quick response.
This unit was built in 2015.The display is a C961 which does not show a voltage just 4 levels of the charge amount. The left side of the drive unit says 8FUN. The battery is mounted on the angle post with a lot of room to spare in that triangular space. I want maximum battery capacity for maximum range.
no, its best not to assume. 58.8v output charger is for 52v li-ion batteries. yours seems like a 48v, but you should have a way to check, by simply turning on your display when the battery fully charged, and see the voltage levels. you should be able to look at the motor and tell is it BBSO2 (750w) or BBSHD (1000w) which look distinctly different. u could also have an off model. the best battery? depends on how much range u need, frame space for mounting, weight, etc, which you should figure out first.
